Bowing to the Greatness of God

Spring is here...so says the calendar. I stand in awed wonderment of how God chooses to show His awesomeness & goodness. The ice, sleet, freezing rain, and wet snow have fallen and with it has come the bowing of all living things. Trees, shrubs, flowers, and all things are showing their faithfulness in the Good Lord.
Below are some snowy pictures from today...the day God stood spring still and lighted things with a white gilded beauty. Enjoy!

A snowy pond
Before the wipers...

After the wipers...one road partially cleared off.
Yes, I'm in 4-wheel drive. The "Beast" is rear wheeled drive & withouth the 4-wheel drive engaged, I'd slip & slide.
This tree is one of my favorites on my drive to work. It reminds me of a Bonzai tree...right now it is weighed down with all the wet snow.

Our evergreen tree is bowing down.

This is a picture of our street. You cannot see our house from here as we are very near the end of the block.
Indian Creek...a driveby of how much it has risen...

Evergreens by the pond beginning to bow down.

Can you see the swan sitting on her eggs? Good thing the tree is starting to bow down for protection of her.

Our flamingo wishes he was in Florida!

This is some of our 8 1/2 foot bamboo...It is in reverence at God's command.
My water bucket setting on top of one of my rain barrels...5 inches of snow at this point.
My daffodils were boldly following the Son (sun) yesterday, but are bowing to God today.

Alive & Well

It has been some time since I've posted much of anything. Josh & I are both doing great! We have been up to nothing much but lots of work and work and work. Here's an update:
1) For New Year's this year, we had a James Bond Marathon and did some scrapbooking.
2) We spent Josh's birthday (Fat Tuesday of all the days!) at Buffalo Wild Wings with his family playing trivia and eating wings. I got a wireless mouse for my laptop which is awesome...makes photo editing much faster!
3) We went to Colorado for my birthday like we do each year. We like to spend the time with my family like a mini-vacation. On 3/7/09, we took Dony, Layla, Mom, and Dad to the Springs for lunch and shoe shopping. Then Josh, Layla, Dad, and myself went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It was a crazy weather day...It'd be bright and sunny when we'd go into a building and when we emerged it would be into a winter wonderland with fresh snow falling.
4) For my birthday, Josh got me a wireless router which I'm using right now with my laptop. It's a wonderful thing to be able to have an office throughout your entire house.

Now some pictures from the happy trip to Colorado!

Josh - Showing off his tool
Does this bib make the tool look small? (It's actually a dangerouse tool...poked a hole in my hand with it...I like the crackers better!
